Will Pakistan also implement CAA: Shahbaz Sharif’s tweet went viral, wrote – Those Muslims who are not happy in India should come to Pakistan; know the truth

Meanwhile, a screenshot of Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s tweet is going viral on social media. The tweet reads- To counter the undemocratic and communal CAA of the Government of India, the Government of Pakistan has also decided to notify its own CAA. In which Indian Muslims who feel oppressed in India will be given citizenship of Pakistan.

The screenshot of Shahbaz Sharif’s tweet on X was shared by many verified and non-verified users. A verified user named Sujit Swami shared the screenshot and wrote – I think this is for anti-India people.

The Center issued the CAA notification on Monday (March 11). The Home Ministry has launched a web portal for Indian citizenship under the Citizenship Amendment Act i.e. CAA. Applications for citizenship have been invited from non-Muslim refugees who have come to India from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

Now they can easily go to PakistanTo know the truth behind Shahbaz Sharif’s tweet, we checked his X-profile. We did not find any tweet related to CAA on his profile. In the viral screenshot, the date of yesterday i.e. 11th March can be seen, whereas Shahbaz Sharif’s last tweet was on 10th.

During the investigation, we took the help of Tweet analytics tool Keyhole. By checking on this tool, we came to know that Shahbaz Sharif had not tweeted anything from his X account on March 11.

In the next phase of investigation, we searched keywords related to Shahbaz Sharif’s tweet. On searching, we did not find any comment or statement from him regarding CAA in any media reports or platforms. It is clear that the claim being made on social media with the viral screenshot is completely wrong. The viral screenshot is edited i.e. fake.
