Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has been in ED custody for the last one week. It is reported that he is interrogated for about five hours every day. Meanwhile, a challenge has also come before ED. Challenge to open Kejriwal’s phone. The Indian Express has learned from sources that Arvind Kejriwal has switched off his iPhone and is not even telling the password to anyone. Now ED has sought help from Apple company to access Kejriwal’s phone.
According to the report, when ED contacted Apple, the company told that it is necessary to know the password to access the phone’s data. Actually ED does not have any electronic evidence against Kejriwal. ED had found four phones of Kejriwal which were confiscated.
According to senior officials associated with the case, Kejriwal told during interrogation that by accessing the data-chat of his phone, ED will get information about AAP’s election strategy and alliance. The CM has reportedly told the ED that he has been using that phone for only one year and while preparing the liquor policy in 2020-2021, he used to use some other phone which he does not have.
Let us tell you that apart from Kejriwal, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, former minister Satyendra Jain and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh have been arrested in the liquor policy case. The Delhi government is accused of corruption under the guise of the new liquor policy.
