If you also use USSD code (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) in your phone, then a new update is coming for you. For mobile users, the use of USSD code in phones is going to stop soon. Actually, a new order has come from the government (Department of Telecommunications in India) to block USSD codes.
India’s Department of Telecommunications has ordered telecom companies to completely block USSD codes like *401#. Service is closing from 15th April The order issued by the government on March 28 clearly states that the license of the USSD-based call forwarding service is being terminated this month, unless a new order is issued. In fact, the government is blocking this service because scammers are using it for online scams.
The mobile user does not even know and the scammers make a fraud call and activate the call forwarding code. As a result, the data of important calls and messages on the mobile user’s phone starts flowing to an unknown device. Scammers use this method to get the OTP of the mobile so that they can commit money related fraud.
