Many types of news have been coming out regarding privatization and merger of banks. Now the Finance Ministry has issued a big update regarding bank merger. In the recent past, many banks have been merged, after which the number of banks in the country has reduced significantly.
After the arrival of Modi government at the Centre, many government banks have been merged. Now news is coming on social media that the government is planning to merge three rural banks of Uttar Pradesh. At present, many types of news are coming out regarding the integration of banks.
It is being claimed on social media that the government is going to merge 3 more banks of UP. The names of Baroda Uttar Pradesh Bank, Aryavart Bank and Pratham Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank are in this list.
Seeing this news, later a notification was issued by the Finance Ministry stating that all the news going viral on social media is fake. The ministry has no such plan. The Finance Ministry has not issued any notification on the merger of three big rural banks of Uttar Pradesh.
Along with this, the Finance Ministry has said that at present there is no plan regarding merger of banks. All such news are completely wrong. After the notification went viral, the Finance Ministry has taken cognizance of this matter. After this DFS has informed that this notification is completely wrong.
