ED calling and Kejriwal not going, where will this end?
The Enforcement Directorate ,ED, which is investigating the alleged liquor scam in Delhi, has again called Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on March 4 to join the investigation.
This is ED’s eighth summons to Kejriwal. Kejriwal has not yet joined the ED investigation. Instead of appearing before the ED, Kejriwal has given written answers.
Kejriwal has ignored seven summons so far. According to news agency PTI, Arvind Kejriwal has told ED that he can join the interrogation through video conferencing after March 12.
On this alleged offer of Kejriwal, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala has said, “It is very strange that a person against whom there are serious allegations will decide how and when he will appear before the ED.”
This has not been heard till date. When Kejriwal was with Anna Hazare, he used to say that first resignation, then investigation. Now forget the resignation, they are not even cooperating in the investigation.
Under Section 50 Clause 3 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, the Enforcement Directorate has the right to summon any person during the investigation.
