BJP List: Bhojpuri singer against ‘Bihari Babu’, this name will surprise you like the leaf of these masks; What is special in BJP’s first list?
Online Desk, New Delhi. Bharatiya Janata Party BJP announced the names of candidates for 195 seats for the Lok Sabha elections. Many surprising names have emerged in the first list of BJP. BJP has fielded famous Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh against sitting MP and actor Shatrughan Sinha from Asansol parliamentary seat of West Bengal. However, TMC has not announced the candidates yet. But it is believed that Mamata Banerjee can once again make Bihari Babu a candidate.
BJP List The first list of BJP includes names of 195 candidates including PM Modi, Rajnath Shah. Prime Minister will be the candidate from Varanasi, Rajnath Singh will be from Lucknow and Amit Shah will be the candidate from Gandhinagar. In the first list, 28 women, 27 Scheduled Caste, 18 Scheduled Tribe and 57 OBC candidates have been made. 47 candidates are below 50 years of age.
Names of 195 candidates were announced in which names of 34 central and state ministers are included in the list. Out of 195, 28 women have been fielded. There are 47 candidates whose age is below 50 years. 57 names are from Backward Classes, 27 are from Scheduled Castes and 18 names are from Scheduled Tribes. Candidates have been announced for five out of seven seats in Delhi. Only North East Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari was successful in saving the ticket.
Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh has been fielded against TMC MP Shatrughan Sinha from Asansol seat of Bengal. BJP has announced the names of 51 candidates out of 80 seats in UP in its first list. Former Mayor Alok Sharma has been made the candidate by cutting the ticket of sitting MP Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur from Bhopal Lok Sabha constituency. Sangam Lal Gupta was again declared the BJP candidate from Pratapgarh.
However, names were not announced for Phulpur, Allahabad and Kaushambi parliamentary seats. Rajeev Chandrashekhar from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala and Anil Antony, son of senior Congress leader AK Antony, have also been fielded.
Sanghamitra Maurya’s father Swami Prasad Maurya has formed a new party. The equations of Badaun are stuck in the politics of father and daughter at different ends and at present the ticket has not been declared. Varun Gandhi is the MP from Pilibhit, but the candidate has not been announced for this seat also.
In the first list, candidates from 15 parliamentary seats of Gujarat have been announced. The party has nominated Amit Shah from Gandhinagar, CR Patil from Navsari, Mansukh Mandaviya from Porbandar. The names of candidates have been announced for 15 Lok Sabha seats of Rajasthan. BJP has given ticket to CP Joshi from Chittorgarh.
Whereas tickets have been given to 15 candidates including Arjun Ram Meghawal from Bikaner, Bhupendra Yadav from Alwar and Ramswaroop Koli from Bharatpur. In the first list, the party has declared candidates for 14 seats in Madhya Pradesh, including Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
BJP has announced the names of candidates for all 11 seats of Chhattisgarh in its first list. The party has fielded Vijay Baghel from Durg, Brijmohan Agarwal from Raipur, Roopkumari Choudhary from Mahasamund, Bhojraj Nag from Kanker. Two seats have been announced from Jammu and Kashmir. Jugal Kishore Sharma will contest from Jammu and Jitendra Singh from Udhampur. There is an opportunity for Jugal and Jitendra Singh to score a hat-trick. BJP announced names of 20 candidates from Bengal.
While Union Minister John Barla’s ticket has been cut from Alipurduar, Suvendu’s brother Soumendu will contest from Kanthi. The party has also fielded four MLAs. The name of Swami Prasad Maurya’s daughter from Badaun is also not in the list at present.
