This upcoming feature of WhatsApp is currently being beta tested. The new feature works on Android’s Nearby system. The name of Nearby has now become Quick Share and it creates a connection through Bluetooth through which files are shared between two nearby devices. This means that you can send messages to someone sitting far away through this new feature of WhatsApp. Will not be able to send messages without internet. To use the upcoming feature, you will also have to give WhatsApp access to your photo gallery. Apart from this, permission will also have to be given for the location.
This feature coming in WhatsApp will work much like Apple’s AirDrop, ShareIT and Google’s Quick Share. In this technique, files are shared without cellular internet and Wi-Fi connection.
